Burnout occurs when your values are misaligned from the values of something (e.g. work, responsibilities) or someone in your life. These prompts will help you realign yourself.

  • Discovery

    Re-align with your values and commit to the person you want to be. Acknowledge your burnout so you are equipped to fight it.

  • Boundary Setting

    Know your limits, and learn how to help yourself hold to those limits. If you can't say no, you will spiral deeper into the burnout.

  • Forward Progress

    Self-discovery and boundaries alone will not cure burnout. Time, dedication, and a willingness to experiment will help you move forward.

I quit my long-time job months (if not years) after I should have, and I had to deal with the consequences of that choice. Hopefully, these prompts will give you a smoother experience than I had.
